Cookie Policy
This website uses a few cookies that it needs in order to work: to remember your language, to keep a form secure while you fill it in and to check the verification code. They are not used to identify you or for advertising.
Cookies this website sets
| Cookie | What it does | How long it is kept |
|---|---|---|
Language | Remembers whether you chose English or Hindi. | 1 year |
dbim-consent | Remembers the choice you made in the cookie notice. It is kept in your browser's own storage, not sent to the website, and asked for again after this time. | 180 days |
.AspNetCore.Session | Keeps your visit together as you move from page to page. | Until you close the browser (the website forgets the visit after 30 minutes without activity) |
.AspNetCore.Antiforgery.… | Protects forms such as Feedback from being sent by another website. | Until you close the browser |
.dnt_Captcha… | Checks the verification code on the Feedback form. | A few minutes |
| Sign-in cookie | Keeps registered users and staff signed in. Set only when you sign in. | 30 minutes without activity |
_cpc | Checks the verification code on the sign-in page (the code is stored encrypted). Set only on the sign-in page and deleted once used. | 5 minutes |
Settings kept in your browser
If you change how the website is displayed (text size, dark contrast, invert, saturation or greyscale, highlighted links, hidden images, a large cursor or text spacing), the choice is kept in your browser's own storage, so that it applies on every page, only if you allow Preferences in the cookie notice. It is not sent to the website.
The visitor figure shown at the bottom of the page is kept there too, with the day it was read, so that every page of your visit shows the same figure and day and the visit is counted once.
Analytics
This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies.
Content from other websites
A map on a page, such as the Contact Us page, is provided by Google Maps. It is not loaded until you choose "Show map"; Google may then set its own cookies, see Google's privacy policy. Links to other websites open those websites, which have their own cookie policies.
The homepage shows the latest posts of CRPF's Facebook and Instagram accounts, and a CRPF video on YouTube where one is named, in frames loaded from those websites when the homepage opens. Facebook and Instagram (Meta) and YouTube (Google) may then set their own cookies; see their privacy policies. The X card is only a link to the account.
Your choices
You can delete or block cookies in your browser's settings. If you block them, the language choice, forms and the verification code may not work.
Questions about this policy can be sent through the Feedback form.
